Welcome to The Parrot Club!
The Parrot Club of Manitoba provides an opportunity for people who are interested in parrots to get together to share information on their birds’ care, feeding, and behaviour.
Based out of Winnipeg, the Parrot Club of Manitoba hosts meetings once a month for members. Our meetings provide an opportunity for prospective, new, and experienced parrot enthusiasts to meet and have discussions on related topics. Some members choose to bring their birds to the monthly meetings, which provides a unique opportunity for interested individuals to see and learn about different species in-person.
If you are thinking about joining the Parrot Club of Manitoba, you are welcome to attend one of our meetings for free. We hope that you will choose to join us and support our activities. Whether you wish to join to attend meetings, socialize, make new connections, and/or become more involved with club operations, we are a welcoming group of people. Our monthly meetings are family friendly.
On March 12th, 2019 the Manitoba Veterinarian Medical Association released a statement about an increase in parrots confirmed to be positive for Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease in Winnipeg. This disease is highly contagious, fatal, and non-treatable. Please see the Resources page for more information.
